Terms of Use — Daim

These Terms of Use govern your use of Daim: Prayer & Qada Tracker (the “App”), developed and published by Osman Dogan (DGN Apps). By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which also applies.

1. The App

Daim is a free app for tracking the five daily prayers, calculating and tracking qada (missed) prayers and fasts, prayer times, reminders and the Qibla direction. It contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. We may improve, change or discontinue features at any time.

2. Prayer times and Qibla

Prayer times are calculated astronomically on your device using the method you choose (for example Diyanet, Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, ISNA, Kemenag or JAKIM). Results can differ by a few minutes from your local mosque’s timetable; you can adjust each time manually in Settings. The Qibla compass depends on your device’s sensors and may be affected by magnetic interference. Please verify times and direction with local sources when precision matters.

3. Religious content and the qada calculator

The qada calculator gives an estimate based on the information you enter and on commonly used rulings (for example counting from the age of puberty in lunar years, excluding days of menstruation and postnatal bleeding, and optionally including Witr as in the Hanafi school). It is a tool to help you begin, not a religious ruling (fatwa). For personal questions of religious practice, please consult a qualified scholar. Qur’an verses and hadith shown in the App are quoted from well-known sources with references.

4. Your data

Your records are stored only on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own backups; we cannot recover data that is deleted from your device.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

6. Intellectual property

The App’s design, code and graphics belong to Osman Dogan. The Arabic typeface Amiri is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including inaccurate times, missed reminders or loss of records.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the new terms.
