Daim Support
Daim (Arabic دائم — “constant”, from Qur’an 70:23: “those who are constant in their prayer”) is a calm, ad-free prayer tracker for iPhone. Log each of the five daily prayers with one tap, calculate and make up missed (qada) prayers and fasts, get accurate offline prayer times and reminders, find the Qibla and see your growth. Daim is developed and published by Osman Dogan (DGN Apps). It is free, has no ads, no account and no tracking, and works offline.

Frequently asked questions
How do I log a prayer?
On the Today screen, tap the circle next to a prayer to mark it as prayed on time. Tap the prayer’s row to choose another status: in congregation, on time, late, made up later, missed or (for sisters, if enabled) excused. You can also log from the notification (“Prayed ✓”) or from the Home Screen widget.
Can I fill in previous days?
Yes. Tap a day in the week strip under the countdown to open it, log its prayers, then tap Today to return.
My prayer times differ from my mosque’s. What can I do?
Open Settings → Prayer times and choose the calculation method your mosque follows (for example Diyanet in Türkiye, Kemenag in Indonesia, JAKIM in Malaysia, Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, ISNA in North America). Hanafi users should set Asr to Hanafi. If a difference of a minute or two remains, use “Adjust times manually” to shift each time.
How is my qada calculated?
Open the Qada tab → Calculate my qada. Daim counts the days from the age of puberty (in lunar years) until the date you began praying all five prayers regularly, subtracts the share you did pray, and for sisters subtracts days of menstruation and postnatal bleeding, for which nothing is owed. Witr can be included for the Hanafi school, and missed Ramadan fasts are estimated too. The result is an estimate — if unsure, scholars advise choosing the more cautious number. You can always adjust the counts by hand (Qada → ··· → Adjust counts).
How do I make up (qada) prayers in the App?
Each time you pray a qada prayer, tap + on its card. “Made up a full day” adds one of each. Set a daily plan (for example 5 or 6 a day) and Daim shows your progress, your pace and when you would finish. Long-press a card to undo.
Does a missed prayer get added to my qada?
Yes, if “Add missed prayers to qada” is on (Settings → Tracking). Marking a prayer as “made up later” then pays it back automatically.
What does “excused day” mean?
For sisters, days of menstruation or postnatal bleeding carry no prayer obligation. Turn on Settings → Tracking → Excused days; excused days keep your streak and are never added to your qada.
The Qibla compass seems off.
Hold your iPhone flat, away from metal objects and magnets, and move it in a figure-eight to calibrate. The screen also shows the Qibla bearing in degrees from true north.
How do I add the widgets?
Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget and search for Daim. “Next prayer” shows a countdown and lets you log today’s prayers with a tap (medium size); “Today’s prayers” shows your five-segment ring; “Qada progress” lets you log a made-up prayer. Lock Screen widgets are available too.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Settings → Your data → Export backup, and save or send the file. On the new iPhone, choose Restore from backup and select that file.
How do I change the language?
Daim follows your iPhone language. To use a different language only for Daim, open Settings → Language inside the App. Available: English, Türkçe, العربية, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, اردو, Français, Deutsch, বাংলা.
