Privacy Policy — Last Courier

Effective date: October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Last Courier (the “App”, “we”, “us” or “our”), an iPhone app developed and published by Osman Dogan (DGN Apps), handles your information. Last Courier is a zombie-escape running game: you run or walk outside, a radio operator talks you through the outbreak, and a horde chases you based on your own pace. It has no account, no server of ours, no advertising and no analytics.

1. The short version

We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Your runs, routes and game progress stay on your iPhone. The App does not send any data to a server operated by us. Map features use Apple’s own map services, described below.

2. Location

  • During a run: with your permission (“While Using the App”), the App reads your location to measure distance and pace, draw your route and place game events on the streets you actually run. While a run you started is active, location updates continue with the screen locked; iOS shows the location indicator while this happens. When the run ends, location tracking stops.
  • On the home map: the App shows your surroundings and nearby places (for example pharmacies or supermarkets, re-skinned as locations in the game world).
  • We never ask for “Always” location access, and we never receive your location.

3. Apple Maps services

To show the map, find nearby places, build walking routes for practice runs and display street names, the App uses Apple’s MapKit. These requests (which can include a location or area) are handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. We do not receive them.

4. Motion & Fitness

With your permission, the App reads your step cadence from the iPhone’s motion sensors to detect sprints and stops, so a chase pauses the moment you stop. This is processed on your device only.

5. Health

The current version of the App does not read from or write to Apple Health. If a future version offers saving runs as workouts or reading heart rate, it will ask for your permission first, health data will never be used for advertising or marketing, it will not be stored in iCloud by the App, and this policy will be updated before that version is released.

6. Information stored on your device

To work, the App keeps the following in its private storage on your iPhone:

  • Your chosen callsign (picked from a fixed list; no real name is needed), movement mode, units and settings.
  • Your normal pace, used to make the chase fair for your fitness level.
  • Run history: date, distance, duration, a simplified route, chase results and game events.
  • Game progress: level, experience, resources, items, safe-house upgrades, story progress and daily goals.

If your iPhone is backed up by Apple (iCloud or computer backup), that backup is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.

7. Voice, sound and the Lock Screen

The radio operator’s voice is made of audio recordings bundled inside the App. All sound is played on your device. The App never uses the microphone. During a run, the App can show a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island (distance, time and the distance to the horde); this information is created and shown on your device only.

8. Purchases

Courier Pass subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. The App only checks with Apple’s StoreKit on your device which purchases are active. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.

9. Information we do not collect

Last Courier does not require an account, sign-in, email address or phone number. It does not access your contacts, photos, microphone or camera. It contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no crash-reporting services of ours. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous crash and usage statistics only if you have chosen to share them with app developers in your iPhone settings.

10. Children

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

11. Deleting your data

Use “Reset all progress” in the App’s settings, or delete the App from your iPhone. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date.
