How to play

1. Set the table. Add everyone’s name and choose a deck — or tap Auto for a balanced one.
2. Deal. Pass the phone. Each player holds the card to see their secret role, then passes it on.
3. Night. Put the phone in the middle and turn the volume up. Everyone closes their eyes. The narrator wakes each role in turn; that player opens their eyes, taps their choice and closes them again.
4. Dawn. Everyone wakes up and learns who did not survive.
5. Day. Discuss and accuse. When time is up, point at your suspect on three and choose the eliminated player in the App (or play with a secret ballot).

Frequently asked questions

I can’t hear the narrator.

Gloam plays even with the silent switch on. Check the volume, Settings → Test the narrator, and whether audio is going to a Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker. You can also pick a speaker from the game menu.

Can the narration be in another language than my phone?

Yes. Settings → Narration language: English, Español (Latinoamérica) or Deutsch — independent of your iPhone’s language.

Won’t people know who died if a dead role is called?

Gloam keeps calling eliminated roles with a natural pause, so the table can’t tell. You can turn this off in Rules.

How many players?

4 to 10 for free, up to 30 with Gloam Pro.

What is in Gloam Pro?

14 extra roles, up to 30 players, every narrator voice and secret ballot voting. There is no subscription: choose Lifetime (pay once, keep it forever) or a 24-hour Night Pass for a single party.
