Privacy Policy — Exhale

This Privacy Policy explains how Exhale (the “App”, “we”, “us” or “our”), an iPhone app developed and published by Osman Dogan (DGN Apps), handles your information. Exhale helps people quit vaping and smoking. It is private by design: it has no account, no server, no advertising and no analytics.

1. The short version

We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Everything you enter — your quit plan, puff logs, cravings, slips, check-ins, reasons and settings — is saved only on your iPhone. The App does not send your content to any server operated by us or by any third party.

2. Information stored on your device

• Your plan: what you are quitting (vaping, cigarettes or both), the device you use, your estimated usage and prices, nicotine strength, your quit or step-down dates, your optional first name, your reasons and your triggers.
• Your logs: puffs you log, cravings (time, intensity, trigger, outcome), slips, daily check-ins (mood, optional symptoms and a short note) and lesson progress.
• Widgets: to show your progress on the Home Screen and Lock Screen, the App shares a few numbers (nicotine-free start date, money saved, today’s puff count and budget, and whether Pro is active) with its own widget through an App Group on your device. Notes, reasons and logs are never shared with the widget.

This information stays in the App’s private storage on your iPhone and in your device backups (iCloud or computer backups) if you have enabled them, under Apple’s own terms. We cannot access it.

3. Health information

Exhale offers behavioural support and general information from public-health sources. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Any health-related details you choose to enter (for example symptoms in a check-in) remain on your device only.

4. Purchases

Exhale Pro is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, email address or payment details. The App only receives a confirmation from Apple that a purchase or subscription is active.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, reminders (daily nudges, milestones and a reminder before a free trial ends) are scheduled locally on your iPhone. No push server is involved.

6. Face ID

If you turn on the optional lock, the App asks iOS to verify you with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessible to the App or to us.

7. Analytics, advertising and tracking

The App contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites.

8. Your control: export and deletion

You can export all of your data as a JSON file at any time (You › Export my data), and erase everything from the App (You › Erase everything). Deleting the App also deletes its data from your device.

9. Children

Exhale is intended for adults who want to stop using nicotine and is rated 17+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect information from children — the App collects no personal information from anyone.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
